Children
When a relationship breaks down, resolving issues relating to the children is often the main priority
In all matters concerning children, their welfare is paramount and we fully understand the importance of making the right decisions in the best interests of a child’s welfare.
We can offer advice on a wide range of children matters including;
- Residence
– issues relating to where a child should live;
- Contact
– issues relating to when a child should see the non-resident parent, and other family members such as grandparents;
- Parental Responsibility
– not all fathers automatically have Parental responsibility, particularly if they are not named on the birth certificate and were not married to the mother. Parental responsibility can be acquired either by agreement or Court Order;
- Specific Issue Orders
– relating to issues such as changing a child’s name or what school they should attend;
- Prohibited Steps Orders
– which prevent something, such as, a child being removed from somebody’s care or from the jurisdiction of England and Wales
